Mechanical & Electrical  (M&E) system is one of two main parts of a construction project (including construction part and electromechanical part). In construction works, besides raw construction, finishing construction and interior, the M&E is an important and essential part. It can be said that the M&E part accounts for about 40-60% of the total volume in the project. The M&E system is the factor that makes the buildings work .
In general, the M&E system includes all parts except for construction and interior. As such, it can be summarized the items that an M&E contractor should have as followings:
   -  Heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning
   -  Plumbing, consisting of water supply, fixtures, sanitary drainage, sewage treatment and disposal, and storm drainage.
    - Power supply system, consisting of power stations, medium voltage, transformers, lines, generators, lighting, branch power supply systems, measurement and control, lightning protection ...
     - Fire protection, including fire alarm and suppression systems.
     - BMS system, communications, network security and electronics systems, consisting of: network and telephone, surveillance cameras, building management, smart home, energy management, central air conditioning.
The selection of  contractor for M&E construction and design is also very important. In order to make project work smoothly, not only the architecture but also the M&E system must also be really perfect. The contractor must have full capacity to take the roles of both design and implementation for M&E system.
